Shhh ... Don't tell him about Lorena Bobbitt

This happened last year, when Seth was nearly 3 and had just finished potty training.

Scene: lying in bed reading books to Seth, who has both hands shoved down his pajama bottoms.

Seth: My pipi falls off.

Me: No, it doesn't.

Seth: Pipis don't fall off?

Me: No, you'll have your pipi all your life.

(Seth pulls down his pajamas to show me a tiny erection)

Seth: It gets big.

Me: So I see.

Seth: It gets little too.

Me: Yes, it can be big or little.

Seth: Pipis don't fall off when they get little?

Me: No. They stay on, big or little.

Seth: Don't worry about it then.

Me: That's right.

Seth: I need to pee.

Me: I thought so.

It must be the time when boys discover that because like seth, it happen around the same time for my son as well. Boy did he have fun for awhile discovering his new party tricks.

That's the one thing I dread about having boys someday -- there's only one penis I want anything to do with!

Yep, it's still his favorite toy. Probably always will be!

Though I have to say, clean-up is much easier with boys than girls, diaper-wise.

My son is entering into the stage that Olivia seems to be at - talking about farts. The little bugger sure knows how to get us in trouble. He likes to make up stories to strangers, friends, whomever by making a stinky expression with his nose and telling them that his daddy or mommy has just farted, he says this really loudly and then giggles. It's very embarrassing especially since he is just making it up but noone else knows except for us. We've always known that he was a little mischievous but it's great to see his sense of humor developing too.
