Multi-Grain Cheerios

My niece Henna Baila (2.5) knew what she wanted for breakfast a few days, and was happy announcing it to her parents:
I want Moldy Green Cheerios!

PT - LOL, makes me remember when I was teaching English to a Korean adult and he mentioned his favorite American movie - Lambo.

"Huh?"

"You know, Lambo, Lambo," he said, simulating machine gun fire.

Oh.

That reminds me of something from my foreign-student days in Nice, France. On meeting me for the first time, a fellow foreign student, from Thailand, attempted to discuss "phirosophie glec" with me. I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. (Have you ever tried to carry your side of a polite and friendly conversation when you have no idea what the other person is talking about and are too embarrassed to ask?) It wasn't until several minutes into the conversation that the coin finally dropped: "Ah, philosophie grecque!" The poor guy was trying to impress me with his knowledge of Greek philosophy.

Just so you know, I've taken to calling them "Moldy Green Cheerios" all the time, like when I ask my wife to put them on the shopping list.
